Your Role
The mentors will be conducting regular sessions with their juniors of Grade 6th and 7th. The mentors are required to research their decided topics in detail and work on fun yet effective ways to share their knowledge with the mentees. They will be expected to create a safe, judgment-free zone that would help students be more comfortable discussing the difficult situations they’ve faced. Lastly, they should work on strict anti-discrimination policies which are accepting of all genders, race, sexual orientation, and identity.
Curriculum
We believe in providing only credible and efficient guidance to our juniors. All interested students thus first go through 16-20 hours of training provided by experienced professionals of the ‘Aawaaz Foundation’.
You become eligible to teach an actual class only after you have successfully gone through the entire training.
The curriculum of the training involves:
- Empathy inculcation
- Lesson Planning guidance
- Behavioral Management lessons
- Teaching strategies modules
- Social and Emotional Learning
Only students of grades 10-12 are eligible for the training.
